There is no sustainability without a social project.
Sustainability is the sum of the natural environment plus the individuals that live there, including, of course, people.
Social life is the least defined and least understood of the different ways of approaching sustainability and sustainable development. Social sustainability has had considerably less attention in public dialogue than economic and environmental sustainability.
In fact, all of the domains of sustainability are social: including ecological, economic, political and cultural sustainability… because there is a close dependency upon the social and the natural.
Social sustainability is a process for creating sustainable successful places that promote wellbeing, by understanding what people need from the places they live and work.
So, why not do business in ways that benefit society and protect people?
We are committed with social, cultural and environmental projects.
20% of our benefits go directly to help people, without intermediaries.
We support the association MANOS ESPECIALES in Guatemala, a group of craftswomen who make traditional fabrics with natural dye and devote their efforts to care children with any type of physical or mental disability.
In collaboration with Fundació Astres, we have created a work center for people with disabilities. They manufacture all the pigments and auxiliary products that textile industry need to work with our natural dyeing process.
Fundació Astres & Plataforma Educativa is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to social education activity since 1994. It’s goal is the pursuit of general interest purposes in the field of social action towards people at risk of exclusion, and establishes collaboration agreements with similar entities with which to develop a joint work.
